There's a lot going on behind the scenes, and it's thrilling! Here’s a sneak peek of what’s happening: We’ll be painting and repairing the playgrounds at both the Early Years and Peacock Park. Forest School

We are incredibly proud to have a Forest School at Yardley School in parternship with OrganicLea. This has been a dream come true, and we couldn't be more pleased with the feedback we've received. We want to assure you that we will continue throughout the year. If it rains, that's even better, as we love getting muddy and celebrating all seasons outdoors.

We’re planning to build a special winter tent to provide shelter when needed and a secure storage space for our gardening tools. Could you consider donating £5 or £10 to support this project? Everything will be available for teachers as well to use whenever they need it.

You can donate directly on our website <link> , contribute regularly via crowdfunding <link>  or donate at the office using our card machine. Jack (class 10) kindly volunteered to build it for us, we just need to raise fund to buy the items. Please support if you can.

We are looking for volunteers to assist with sessions on both Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We hope to offer this amazing club to more children and you can make this to happen. This commitment is just 1 hour and 20 minutes of your time, from 3:30 pm to 4:50 pm. You will need to complete a DBS form at the school office before you can take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to support our young ones.

LIBRARY PROJECT

Even though it took longer than expected, we are finally bringing the project to fruition! We will start with the painting, confident that it will greatly change the space. The library is located in the center of the main building along a busy corridor. Interior designer Beth Ivy wants to ensure the area embodies the essence of a library, allowing students to immerse themselves in reading and stories. We understand that students also use the space for a quiet time especially on rainy days. Therefore, we will be installing wood panels to absorb noise, shelves on the wall to better display their books, and a table for board games. We count on you on 24/10 to help out and make this a reality.

We will be investing a total of £10,000 we received from your donations and events. Thanks to the paint and tools donation from B&Q's Deputy Manager Chingford, Barry Haman, we were able to allocate more of the budget towards essential library furniture and essential items.

The General Meeting Summary

We experienced a remarkable turnout and exchanged many innovative ideas during our recent gathering. An updated financial summary was presented, and we engaged in thoughtful discussions on strategies to encourage greater participation from parents and guardians in the PTA. Additionally, we reviewed our calendar of events and considered alternative plans for the summer, given that we will be unable to host activities next year due to the upcoming construction in the canteen.

As a diverse group, we brought a variety of perspectives and suggestions to the table, and we reached a consensus on the following points:

  • We would like to encourage parents to drop their unwanted uniforms that are still in good condition, but maybe doesn’t look as brand-new and we would make a sale once in every term where the donated items could go for a pound or two. Danielle will be in charge of that.

  • We agreed that we need more volunteers. Lily will be the charge of that as she is working for local charities and also she will be in charge to involve the class reps more.

  • One of the parents who attended is going to ask around for an artist who could do the mural for the library

  • Discuss fundraising event ideas that could possibly make up for the income loss for the summer fair this year, such as light shows, disco, bake sales, international day, dress up day

  • We agreed to hold regular coffee mornings for parents to help build a community (need volunteers to run it).

  • We agreed that regular PTA meetings are needed and currently are looking for a place that would be available on regular basis, likely once a month.

Thank You for Your Input!

First off, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for all the wonderful ideas and suggestions you’ve shared. As a busy mom of three and someone who works full time, I do face some limitations, especially with the support available. However, I truly believe we have fantastic opportunities ahead to improve our school, improve our facilities, fundraise more effectively, and create exciting events.

Your Involvement Matters!

Your participation is key to driving the changes we want to see. Together, we can ensure that the workload is balanced and, most importantly, enjoyable for everyone involved. Being the Chair of the PTA has allowed me to connect with many amazing people and develop new skills, and I can honestly say it’s been a rewarding experience.

I warmly invite you to come along and be part of this journey. Let’s work together to make our school even better!

Warm wishes,

Evelin Kiss

This is such an enlightening post! The Role of a Shadow Teacher in Supporting Inclusive Education is incredibly important, and this blog does a great job of explaining how these educators help students thrive academically and emotionally. It beautifully highlights the value of patience, empathy, and personalized guidance in creating an inclusive learning environment. The thoughtful tone of this piece reminds me of the creativity and care involved in Poems Writing Services, where every word is chosen to inspire and connect with the reader. Truly a wonderful read!

This circus event sounds like such a wonderful community experience, reminding me of my own passion for local theatre that I had to set aside during my final university year. Juggling rehearsals for our community play with the intensive research required for my literature dissertation became completely unmanageable, forcing me to choose between my academic commitments and creative expression. Finding reliable dissertation help UK services allowed me to maintain my academic progress while still participating in the arts community that fuels me, creating the balance I desperately needed during that demanding period.

Your post on Roll-Up, Roll-Up: A Circus Performer Is Coming to Yardley really captures the excitement and community spirit surrounding the event. While I was prepping for an online exam on event management and education engagement, I considered how to pay someone to edit my journal paper to tight-en up my academic reflections on organising such events. That led me to discover exam helper platforms that helped sharpen my writing and analysis rather than just handing me ready-made solutions.

This circus event sounds absolutely magical for the Yardley community! I've always been passionate about bringing unique cultural experiences to my own neighborhood, which is what led me to volunteer organizing our local summer festival. However, I'm also finishing my degree, and the demanding preparation for my mathematics exams is consuming all my time right when our festival planning kicks into high gear. To ensure I can contribute fully to our community events, I've decided to hire someone to take my Mathematics exams. This solution will free me up to focus on bringing joy and entertainment to our neighborhood while maintaining my academic progress.

This circus event sounds absolutely magical for the Yardley community! I've always been passionate about bringing unique cultural experiences to my own neighborhood, which is what led me to pursue my master's in community arts development. However, I'm currently completing my degree through distance learning while working full-time, and the solitary nature of dissertation writing has become quite challenging. To actually help organize events like this in my community, I've started researching an online dissertation writing service in UK for professional support. This would free up the time and mental energy I need to focus on the community engagement work that truly matters to me.
