Dear Parents and Guardians,
Our Disco Party is approaching. Please let us know your child favourite playlist!
"Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are excited to invite you to join us in planning an upcoming silent disco event on 17th October 2024. A Silent Disco event offers special light-up wireless headphones for each child, ensuring everyone can control their music volume and choose songs. It's a safe, inclusive and child-friendly way to enjoy music together.
This planning process is collaborative, and we are excited to have you on board. Your input is crucial to ensuring this event is enjoyable and inclusive. Let's work together to create a memorable experience for children.
We acknowledge that some aspects, like music, flashing lights, and decorations, can be distressing for some. So, please let us know the dos and don’ts, the best timing for the event, potential themes, and music suggestions for the playlist. Involve your child in the conversation, as this event is for them!
Please note that the school will need to approve the event, and the results of our discussions and votes will only guide us in providing the best experience possible.
Please answer some questions below:
Are you planning to go?
Yes.
No.
Can we have disco lights?
Yes. It will be fun.
Yes, but not flashing lights.
No, as it can be overstimulating for my child.
The event will take place outside school hours, understanding that this time can be challenging for families juggling dinner preparations and picking up siblings. Would having food options (food trucks) available during the event be a good idea?
Should we have food options?
Yes, great idea.
No, I will pack a dinner.
The Silent Disco is scheduled for 17/10, which is close to Halloween. While most enjoy the spooky celebration, we know it can be too intense for young children. Thus, we will not have a Halloween-themed Silent Disco. However, dressing up can still be great fun. If you have better ideas, please leave a comment.
Should we have a theme for the Silent Disco?
Yes, dress as your favourite teacher.
Yes, let's all dress up! Think 70s, 80s, and 90s vibes.
Yes, Superheroes.
No, I don't like dressing up.
I believe it would have been nice to split y3- y4 and y5 - y6 as well.
